girls moving seven strong team
We'll have a pretty strong varsity team by the end of the year. Seven (girls) will have to play doubleheaders, with the possibility of more moving up.
games win
We'll get it back. We can win a lot of games in conference.
coach friend guys pick smart
Those guys aren't going to pick a friend to coach with them because they're a friend. They want a smart guy around them.
common common-sense rely
Unfortunately you can't rely on common sense when it comes to highway-safety laws.
minutes until
Unfortunately that wasn't done until 20 minutes into the call.
hoping second
We were just hoping to get a second chance.
bounce question ship whether
You didn't want to see the ship sink, so you had to make a stand. The question is whether we can bounce back (again). Hopefully, the team's up for the challenge.
dire humor political prudent question reminding satire seemingly slow terrorist though valuable wartime
Though slow to develop, terrorist humor has done all of this. Political satire has been particularly valuable in challenging the seemingly lockstep wartime outlook, reminding us that even in dire times it is always prudent to question authority.
ball guys job openings poor shoot
We didn't shoot it well and we did a poor job of going to the boards. We had a lot of openings (to get the ball inside), but the guys on the perimeter just didn't see them.
came expect fun goals
We didn't really know what to expect when we came out here. We didn't have any real goals. This was more of a fun venture.
hits several
We had several hits in the States but probably only one big one in Europe. The crowds are smaller.
The choices for me now are completely creative. I know, when I'm going to make a record, it ain't going to sell.
lewis sold
Our first record, 'Huey Lewis And The News', was seen by no one - it sold 25 copies.
eve lewis originally release sued
Well, we were originally called Huey Lewis and the American Express. But on the eve of the release of our first record, our record label, Chrysalis Records was afraid that we'd be sued by American Express.
