We think that developing countries should not sign up to what's there if that's all there is.
We're not paying attention to any of that foolishness. What we're paying attention to is that we want Pops to get double-digit rebounds. I want J.R. to take better shots. I want (senior forward) Mike Hall to take control of this team defensively. I want (senior forward) Omar (Williams) to step it up and be more aggressive. We're not caring about being in the top 20. I want to make that clear.
You have got to have a sense or urgency and prepare to play. I can't speak to any individual player in that regard. In a game, you have to get certain things done whether it is on offense or defense. If not, then we are going to search for somebody else to get it done. That does not apply just to Joe Crawford. It applies to everybody on the team.
We started to make shots towards the end and we made some key stops. They were right in the ballgame until the four-minute mark.
We used master streams to put out the fire and had fire trucks at all four corners of the complex to keep the fire from spreading to other apartment complexes.
This was my last year and I feel my best coaching year.
What I've been told is that we have a pretty good team. We should be fairly competitive. And if not, we will be in a few years once I build a program.
You guys are making it very difficult to try to match expectations now.
We got the ball inside a lot, got some really good looks at the basket and the ball just wouldn't go down for us. We missed some lay-ups and missed a lot of short jumpers, and that was in large part because of their defense.
We got out of the right mind-set. There was talk of going after kids, but we don't play like that. Fortunately, we got back into it late in overtime.
We helped 160,000 Americans leave the ranks of the uninsured. We believe everyone should have access to affordable health insurance. This does nothing to accomplish that. These bills fail to address health care issues. They cost jobs.
We're going to work to educate the legislature and work with them to find meaningful ways to address the real issue of the soaring cost of health care. But this legislation will do nothing to accomplish that goal.
We feel like right around the seven- or eight-minute mark is when the other team should be getting a little tired. That's when our depth, our fresh legs and our pressure defense really starts to come into effect.
Either let them do it or don't. Don't tell them 'hey you can go do this' but not let them take any money.
