I think going through that stuff made him a better person. When you go through adversity in life, it helps you on the football field.

I think from what he used to tell us, he always wanted to be on the police force. We saw each other quite often (when Hyder was young), and it was kind of a strange happenstance that I ended up kind of being his employer when I became a trustee.

I think for us it would be more satisfaction than any other year if we won the title. We are not supposed to win and that is what makes it more exciting.

Our guys handled it pretty well. They were pretty professional about it. They were certainly emotional about it and concerned as soon as it hit him. I think they reacted perfectly.

It definitely adds to the excitement. We're all excited about this opportunity. We haven't had it here in so long. I feel great for Geoff Jenkins and Ben Sheets after all the hard times, and to finally have a chance for a winning season and go home happy for a change.

I think Michael Robinson is one of those rare persons that steps in the huddle and people believe in him and believe he's going to get the job done no matter what it takes. It might be with a play, it might be with his mind, it might be throwing the football. But I think everyone on that football team, whenever Mike says, 'Hey, we're going to go score,' I think they truly believe in him. He's just that type of person.
metro sets teams toughest
I think Metro sets teams up for the playoffs. Metro is one of the toughest leagues. You have to come to play.
difficult disease helps mentally money
I think mentally it really helps because someone realizes how difficult the disease is ... Money always helps, but I think the mental thing is more important.

I think it would be a real feather in their cap if they could go .500 against Calgary in their first season so we're going to have to work very hard to make sure that doesn't happen.
