I'm doing a lot of child research now because of my son. I've taken him to swimming class, and I go to Mommies and Me, and... I get all the parenting magazines. I think with women who are doing it all for the first time, and are not quite my age, there's this process of discovery.

I'm really proud of the kids. We picked it up at that point and had good approaches at the plate.

I kicked a few imaginary balls today, ... Tomorrow, I'll hit a couple of Nerf balls and hopefully Wednesday I'll be able to kick real ones.

I learned that I had the mental game to play out there, ... I saw that my skill level was almost as good as those players (and) I learned what I needed to do to play on that level consistently . . . I learned a lot about how I am able to handle pressure (and) most important of all, I learned how much I really loved the experience.
