I'm extremely excited to move forward. Baseball has been great to me. It's been a great experience. But I'm definitely ready to move on. The lifestyle - people don't realize how difficult it is. A lot of things happened to me this off-season. There are things more important in life (than baseball). I decided to step away.

Nobody thought I'd get out of 'A' ball. I made it to triple-A. I'm happy with where I've gotten and what I've done, but I'm ready to move on.
bit difficult family needs
It was a very difficult off-season for us. It kind of put things in perspective. It's just what the family needs and wants. That has a little bit to do with it, but not all of it.

They won't give me another opportunity. The writing was on the wall. When you get that type of feeling, you don't want to hold onto the game too long.
