I would like him to play. Mike would be an asset to the team no doubt. He really came into his hitting last year and it would be nice to have him at the 3, 4, or 5 hole.

I don't want anyone to get hurt. We had a really successful Legion program last year - it's already a long season.

Dan really came into his own pitching last year (during Legion play). He received the sportsmanship award during the regional tournament.

I think Dan had a great first outing. That's a good way to start the year with the team backing you up and scoring 16 runs.

He came into his own last year as a second baseman. He had a problem with his rotator cup because the amount of plays and the amount of throws that he makes.

Early I don't think he (Picket) had all of his stuff and also he didn't get to warm up properly.

Offensively the first game we just crushed the ball.

We had six errors in the first game and five in the second. I was really disappointed. We never had an opportunity to put a whole bunch of plays together. They hit well and we made bad pitches.
afford baseball colleges high kids recruit school season
We have some kids who want to use this high school season and the Legion baseball as a springboard for college. I think high school baseball will afford colleges to recruit during the school year.

I was happy with what Thomas did. He didn't come out and throw his hard stuff in any of his innings. We didn't want him to.
both pleased
I was pleased with both games. Our sportsmanship was outstanding.
hook hopefully kids younger
This will make us more competitive for Legion. Hopefully it (club season) will take off and more kids will want to play. I think it will put the hook into the younger kids.
