I just tried to stay positive and not float away mentally, ... I'm at the end of the line, I've arrived in the finals. It's good for me. Got to see what's left tomorrow. And even if there's nothing left like today, I'll still find something. I just wanted to win.
I just couldn't play today's match, ... I'm not fit enough to play professional tennis and so I shouldn't be out there. It's really disappointing because I was having such a great time at this tournament.
I just felt like under normal circumstances I really felt like I would have been able to win that match,
I am an experienced player and I have been in the last four so many times. I know what I am doing.
I really hope I am the last woman player in history ever to be paid unequally.
In 10-15 years there will be a little drop-off for us. It's high tide right now, ... One day there will be another tennis player that excites people -- you can't be No. 1 forever.
If she wins or loses, I'm extra motivated either way. When she wins, I definitely want to be like her.
I had a lot of opportunities, but she definitely played the best. I don't know if I'll take some time off. Sometimes your youth seems to pass you by because of work. I sometimes feel like I want to be young.
In the last matches Serena just always played better, ... She won them. I was happy at least that a Williams won. Obviously I would have loved to have won, but for me it's like the past now.
I didn't feel I was really on my game, ... My feet were slow and she played really well. You have to have that little extra step and I didn't feel like I had that today. I had to fight myself to get it out of me.
When she doesn't play her best is the best time to get a win against her,
Fingers crossed. Injuries are part of sport, but right now: solid.
But just to have Maria and myself here was a really special thing.
We were very sad when we heard the draw, ... I want her to win as much as me. It was distracting for both of us.
