When I go to a gig and I hear a song that I really like, a song that hits home to me or hits an emotional nerve, if I could ever recreate that for someone, that would be the ultimate goal.
A lot of the album is made of love songs I've written over the past three or four years that have lasted the test of time. It's probably the thing that connects the songs together other than the sound of my vocals.
It wasn't professional, but it was a few levels below the top level. I loved playing football, but my passion was always music. It didn't become a possibility to me until I started playing songs I thought were good. I think it happened during my third song. The dream to become a musician appeared in my heart, and that happened one day.

I like to get suggestions on what to read. I'll look at Twitter, people I like, people I admire... I'll go and research the book, download it on my phone and read it while I'm on the road.
Ralph Fiennes and Edward Norton are among my favorite actors.
It's a weird thing to say you want people to be sick of your song, but I guess that's what happens if your song goes really well.
The fact I even get an opportunity to make one album is crazy. But if all goes to plan, I'll get to make five albums. That'd be nice.
I feel like I'd have a different approach to football now after doing music.
I just got a band together in mid-2012, and we played our first show in October of that year.
I'm a folk singer-songwriter. I am pretty poppy though.
I'm definitely not a super great guitarist. Ultimately, I just write a lot of love songs.
I really honestly can't see myself as a lawyer. It's pretty much safe to say I'll never become one.
I wasn't completely comfortable in the footy culture because I wasn't that comfortable in my own skin, which I am now. I'd fit in better now, but I don't miss the training and the injuries you get playing footy.
