consistent continue learn work
Carlos is doing better. He's got to continue to work on his tackling. The kid's very talented. He's just got to be consistent and learn what to do.
consistent learn looks size
He's got the size and it looks like he has the tools. He just has to be consistent and learn all of his assignments.
guy line people spy
We will spy at times, and we'll have a lot of different people doing it. I don't think you can line up and use the same guy every time. Offenses are too good.
bowl chance early games prepared shown
Some times bowl games give offenses a chance to go out and do some things they haven't done and shown all year. We've got to be prepared defensively to make adjustments early in the game.
bottom contain half line second
We just didn't make tackles. Bottom line was, we just didn't make tackles and contain as well as we did in the first half as the second half.
force
We just didn't make enough plays. We didn't force enough turnovers.
ball guy instead watching
He's a guy that can make plays, and that's what we've got to do. We've got to get to the ball and make some plays. Instead of watching it happen, we've got to make it happen.
chances
We had our chances to win. That's what's disappointing.
guys missed point
Missed tackles. Probably all 11 guys at some point missed a tackle.
brad course nobody
Of course nobody can be Brad but Brad himself. We'll see that firsthand Friday.
adjust bit coordinate easier game involved kept middle natural pass past position run season
It's easier to coordinate from the linebacker position because you're involved in a little bit of the run game and the pass game. It's more of a natural fit. That's the way I've done it before, the only way I've actually done it before. This past season we didn't want to adjust in the middle of the season. So we kept everything like it was.
beat bottom brad force knew line second smith throw
We knew they were going to throw to them. But the bottom line is we had to force someone other than Brad Smith to beat us. We did that in the first half. We didn't in the second half.
good knew player today type
I think what he did today showed what type of player he is. We knew he was a good player. We probably made him look better than what he was. But I've got to give them credit.
ask control eventually expect guys knows pays player price stanley until weight
Hopefully, Stanley will keep working and eventually get his weight under control and be the player we expect him to be. He has potential. A lot of guys have potential. But who knows until he pays the price and does the things we ask him to do.
