became decision fairly looked mind poised seems team
Once I got that alleviated in my mind and I looked at the roster, the decision became fairly easy. This team seems poised to make a run. We're young and very talented.
ball battle game good great stay team
It was a good team effort. We were able to stay in the ball game and battle back. It was great to see.
bit bite couple deficit good punch roll runs team tonight worked
This team is not one that's going to roll over and go away. We're going to scratch, we're going to claw, we're going to put good at-bats together, try to get a couple of runs here and there, bite into the deficit a little bit and punch ahead. Tonight it worked out.
good roll team time worked
This team is not one that is going to roll over and go away. We're going to scratch. We're going to claw and we're going to put good at-bats together. This time it worked out.
conditions control dangerous fifth mother nobody playing since sit team top unsafe
You can't control Mother Nature, but the conditions were unsafe in the top of the fifth inning. Obviously, that team was probably more dangerous since they were playing defense. However, nobody should've been on the field. And it's frustrating on top of all this that we end up getting a loss. That just doesn't sit well.
moves poised seems team
With the moves that they made, and things that they've been able to do, this team seems poised to make a run. We're young and very, very talented.
believe team
If you look at the roster, this is a team I believe will be competitive and be competitive for a long time.
brought deserves help hitters level pitchers team
J.P. has brought in pitchers and hitters to help out and that's just what we're going to try and do. We're going to try to put this team back to the level it's been before and the level it deserves to be.
came control goes happens hit time trying
I'm just trying to hit it, that's it. I was told a long time ago when I first came up, we're producers, not directors. All you can do is hit it, you can't control where it goes and if it happens to go somewhere, fine.
figure hold last mom name noticed seen series since touch tried watching
I hadn't seen Kalen since he was probably 5 or 6, but when I was watching the Series on TV, I noticed the last name and tried to figure out how to get in touch with them. My mom called Williamsport (Pa.) and we got a hold of each other that way.
aggressive far john managers strikes theories
Different managers have different theories on that and so far (Jays manager John Gibbons) has been aggressive on that, which I like. I'm not one to give strikes away.
against battle constantly hit
You don't hit (Johnson), you try to find a mistake. You have to get in there and constantly battle against him.
decision moves saw year
A year ago, it would have been a lot different. But I saw all their moves go by on the ticker. That made the decision pretty easy.
battle chance comfort found gave good innings kept strong teddy zone
Teddy pitched great. He started off a little but slow, but he found his comfort zone and pitched 7 2/3 good strong innings for us, kept us in there, gave us a chance to battle back.
