coaches establish line stop stressed
We are going to have to stop the run. Our coaches have stressed that all year. So we are just going to have to establish the line of scrimmage and stop the run.
along beat good guys last mean playing talent
We weren't doing anything different from last year. The defenses that were called were good enough to beat the offenses that were called, but there would be 10 guys doing it right and one guy doing it wrong. It's disappointing, but I've said all along that talent doesn't mean you are good. You have to have 11 guys playing together.
believe chances decision focus games good guys minutes number playing regular season throughout tough tournament trying
The thing I'm trying to do is get these guys to play for 40 minutes and to focus throughout the game. I'm trying to get them to believe in themselves. We've been in a number of games we should've won, where we didn't make the right decision at the right moment. The regular season is over, the tournament is what matters. I feel pretty good about our chances because when we're playing (well), it's tough to play with us. The way we're playing, we can play with anybody.
good someplace win
I wanted to come someplace where I thought we would win and a place that I thought had a good program.
committed decisions entirely fashion offense team win
We have to make better decisions on offense and defense. The team committed entirely too many unforced turnovers. But I'll take a win in any fashion. It was a gritty, hard-fought game.
ball good run trying
I think I've done pretty well, but I need to show what I can do. I'm just trying to run through the ball and make a good impression.
focused great orlando
We've been focused on Wisconsin. It's just great to get to Orlando and get great weather.
boards crashing good minimize offensive scholars-and-scholarship second shot third
We've got to keep them off the boards. They're good at crashing the boards for second and third shot attempts. So we've got to keep them off the offensive glass, and we also have to minimize our turnovers.
desire game telling
I was telling them that the game is not over. They showed the desire not to give up.
ability alabama backs fresh hitting house next pounding time took touches trade watching yards
McFadden, he's got the ability to take it to the house every time he touches it. He's a 4.3 guy. He can really, really move. I was watching Alabama. He took it 70 yards. Alabama was hitting him, hitting him, hitting; next thing you know, he's going 70 yards down the field. They trade a lot of backs so they can keep fresh and keep pounding you.
came fast line offensive
We just kind of came out and jumped on them pretty fast and just overwhelmed their offensive line and quarterback.
defense lay locker lose regular room season second worked
I told them when we went into the locker room they were going to have to play better or we could lose this game. We had to come out here after this long lay off after the regular season and put up the kind of defense we always try to. And that worked out for us in the second half.
approach awhile basically beat game last next ready since taking took
It's frustrating. We beat ourselves. That's basically what happened. It's been awhile since we lost, but we are taking the same approach we took last year: Let the last game go and get ready for the next one.
fault wanting
It was so long, but that's all right. You can't fault them for wanting to know as much as they can.
