basketball court good guys improve improvement step strides
It's good to have most of our guys back healthy. What we need to concentrate on is that every day we step on that basketball court as a team, we improve individually, and we improve as a team, offensively, defensively. We just need to make strides for improvement every day.
against chance elite guys league personal player wants
It's every player's personal goal, to make the All-Star team. It's a personal accomplishment guys want to make to get a chance to participate against the elite players. Every player in this league wants to be there.
boston break confident determine due either felt game good home leaving road season slow winning
We felt like before the season started, leaving out all the injuries, we felt like we were going to be a pretty good team. We started out slow due to injuries. It kind of set us back a little bit. But winning that home game (against the Boston Celtics), then going on a six-game road trip, that was either going to make us or break us. It was really going to determine our season. We were hungry, and we were really confident and went 5-1.
beginning concentration falling helps intensity knew needed overall quarter shots
I think the intensity from the beginning of the first quarter was there. Our overall concentration was there. We knew what we needed to do, and it helps when our shots are falling as well.
lay reckoned runs streak team win
We don't know who we are. We don't know if we want to be a team that is to be reckoned with or we just want to be a team that runs off a four-game win streak and then we lay down and say, 'So what?' and just go back to our old selves. I don't know, man.
five nobody player roles starting tries
They don't need a player like me because their starting five is a (great) five. They all know their roles and nobody tries to do too much.
great half intensity played start third
As a team, we had great intensity to start the game. I think if we consistently do that and play the way we played in the first half and to come out in the third quarter, then we'll be all right.
bit came chance close extremely fourth fresh gather guys playing quarter rarely rest shots sit
I rarely get any rest in a game, always playing 44 to 48 (minutes). Tonight, with the guys contributing, making shots and playing extremely well, I had a chance to rest, sit down and gather myself a little bit to where I came in in the fourth quarter fresh and was able to close out the game.
coach felt games great left matter onto step team win
It was just one of those games where you felt like you had to win it no matter what it took. It was a winnable game. Coach left me out there. I would be damned if I was going to come out even if he wanted. When I step onto the court, I'm out there to compete. We got the win and it was a great team effort.
escape good sort
It was just good to get out and have some sort of escape from all of the things I've been going through personally.
ball blocking defensive floor guy pass productive reward running types ways willing
If you don't get your touches, there's other ways to be productive for us. That's on the defensive end, blocking shots, running the floor like a thoroughbred. If you run the floor, you have a guy that's willing and able to pass you the ball and reward you for running the floor. Those types of things.
basketball
I'm not just a basketball player. I've got other talents.
knew lose
I knew I could. It's all confidence. I don't ever lose that.
type
He can be that type of player, 20 and 10, without a doubt, without a doubt. He's unbelievable.
