angry bad either fault happened happy last next since taste team upset
Overall, I was very happy with the way we responded. We were either going to come out angry and upset and get that bad taste out of our mouth, or we were going to come out overconfident since we got (Glenwood) by 40 last time. I told them I wanted to see the first team - the one that was angry and wanted to take it out on somebody. It wasn't Glenwood's fault that we lost, they just happened to be next up on the schedule.
attack bit game head high matter maybe quality somebody stay team time
It's a game where it doesn't matter who it is, the team is going to be a quality team. Maybe there's a little bit of disappointment that it's not Denison, but also maybe you get away from the head game, too - 'oh, it's Denison.' Now it's somebody different, but at the same time you can't relax. You still have to stay at a high level, go out and attack them.
balanced defensive stingy team
They're a pretty balanced team, kind of like us. They're a very stingy defensive team as well.
coming maybe motivate satisfied team trying
Our team was maybe a little satisfied coming into the game. Right now we're just trying to find something to motivate them (again).
easily fighting great kept kids mentally plugging position tent tough
We're mentally tough and we were not going to go away. We got down 10 and could have easily folded the tent on the big stage. The kids just kept fighting and plugging away and got us back into that thing. They put us in a great position at halftime.
defense good pressure
Our pressure defense was very strong. I thought our help-side defense was very good at times as well.
balance consistent defense good played players pleased seven turned
I thought we played very good, consistent defense throughout. I was also pleased with our decision-making as we only turned it over seven times. Our balance was very good as well as we had 11 different players score.
foul head took
I think we got into her head a little during the first half, when she got into some foul trouble, and we kind of took her out of the game.
bit continued defensive efficiency offensive putting screws slow start
We got off to a little bit of a slow start but continued to tighten the defensive screws as well as putting our offensive efficiency together.
behind coming five four hard kid legs minutes provide time year
You get to this time of year and one of the things we try to do is keep their legs fresh. When you know that you can go out there and go hard for three, four or five minutes . . . and then you're going to get a break, and that kid coming in behind you is going to provide a spark, it frees you up to do more.
against case confidence doctor last needed oak offense ordered red shoot shot struggled terms tonight turning week
We needed this. It was kind of what the doctor ordered because last week we struggled in terms of scoring. We put up 44 against Red Oak and 48 against LC, and our offense is better than that. It wasn't a case where we were turning it over, it was a case where we didn't shoot well, and tonight we shot it very, very well. We got some confidence back.
best came coming game kept talking
I kept talking about it all week. You know, preparation ... we're doing new stuff. At the same time, it's coming ... it's coming ... and then, all of a sudden, BAM! It came out. And we played, I think, our best game of the year.
free gave hat lost plays seniors stepped throws tip won
Their seniors stepped up and made free throws - I think of the two one-and-ones there at the end. You have to tip your hat to them. I don't think we lost it or gave it away as much as they made plays and won it.
bounds consistent far given grow high knock leaps low points presence sit watch
It's amazing. I sit there and just watch her grow in leaps and bounds every game. She's given us that presence down low as far as the points, and that's just so important for us because those are the consistent points that are always going to be there. The threes may not be, but you know the five-footers . . . you can knock down at a high percentage.
