answer closing club eight goes great guys handle heck hitter produce screws starting tougher watches
Mentally, is closing tougher than a hitter going out there with 600 at-bats to produce ... tougher than a starting pitcher? For the great closer, it's as tough. He watches the club for eight innings. Then if he goes out there and screws it up, he's got 24 guys to answer to. It's a heck of a deal. Some guys can't handle it.
gets help hitting hope key middle whatever wherever
We've got to get him going. He's one of our key guys, so whatever it takes. If hitting in the middle gets him going, then we'll do something else at second. I hope he gets it going, because he can help us wherever he hits.
albert ball balls gone hit track warning
The ball Albert hit would've gone out anywhere. There weren't balls that were hit to the warning track that did not go out that would have gone out in other ballparks. I think it's going to play like the other one.
base hit tough
It's tough enough to get one base hit in the big leagues.
hit pitch tough
He's going to pitch on the edges. He's tough enough to hit when it's over the plate.
allowed hard healthy hitting run
He hasn't been declared healthy yet. He's working hard everyday. He's hitting everyday. He's just not allowed to run or jump.
anybody bothers facet good hitting playing
He is playing so good in every facet of the game. He's hitting fourth, and that's because nothing bothers him. He just plays. He's been as important as anybody we have; he's had an outstanding year.
approach battles classic good great hitter relentless takes trying
He is a classic high-average hitter because he takes a relentless approach every at-bat. Every at-bat he's the same way. He battles the great pitchers, he battles the real good ones, the good ones, the ones that are trying to make it.
advantage clutch good hitter mistake pitch took
He made a mistake pitch and a clutch hitter took advantage. He did some good things and then he made a mistake.
both call command excited game good guy hit home plate somebody starts tim tough worry
(Clemens) is tough enough to hit when it's over the plate and if he starts getting a big plate, that's going to be tough for us. I know in our ballpark, both Tim (McClelland) and Greg (Gibson), and I think Wally will, too, will call a good game and not get excited about the home crowd. You always worry when a guy has good command that he can get somebody excited.
against anybody ball club disrespect either greater hitter innings last league nine nobody offensive pitch run terrific tough
He pitched nine innings against a tough offensive club -- that's dominating. He had a 2-0 pitch to a terrific hitter and he hit the ball out of the state. But that's the last run they got. That's outstanding pitching. No disrespect to anybody in either league who's doing great, but there's nobody greater than Chris. He's clutch.
absolutely ball behind dugout game hitter likely separate time walk walked worst yell
I don't necessarily think you can separate the two. When you come into a game with a big lead, absolutely the worst thing you can do is to walk guys. That's the only time I'd yell from the dugout - whey they walked somebody. So when you get behind a hitter in that situation, it's more likely a ball catches too much plate.

ball both couple hit throw
If you throw the ball down the middle, they can hit one through the wind, which they've done a couple times both games.
