That team and program, they line up and play as hard as they can. They're a proud program, and they'll be back. They're going to have a lot of varsity experience with these young kids that are out here right now.

I think the biggest reason they're 0-2 right now is their turnovers. I think they had five against Prep, and I think they threw three interceptions against First Baptist. I think they've played decently other than the plays when they've turned the ball over.

I thought we were a little sloppy on offense, and Gabe wasn't very sharp. But you can get better after any game, so that's what we're going to try to do.

I think it's going to continue to grow. I think there is a group of students who are really embracing the sport and a group of parents, who might not have made up their minds about letting their kids wrestle at first, who are embracing the sport now, too.

I just felt like the tempo of the game that we started the first quarter with was what we'd like to carry through an entire game, ... The second quarter we'll use as a teaching tool to say 'Hey, this is what we need to not let happen.'

It's really a tribute to the guys that they have bought into it. It really means something that they're willing to give up some of their free time to get together and make an effort to get better.

I know families do stuff on the weekends, and sometimes people have plans that take them out of town, but as long as the guys don't have family plans, they're usually there.

Once Josh let his intentions be known, we started working on trying to find a replacement, and that's ongoing. We don't have one yet, but we do have a few candidates.

The neat thing about it was the seniors kind of stepped up and said we needed to have some more consequences for mistakes, because they didn't feel like just doing a play over was good enough. The best thing about it is that it came from them.

He's very quick, very elusive. It's very difficult to get a clean shot at him. He definitely stretches defensives and makes them cover their whole field.
