Harold Tommy Amakeris an American NCAA Division I college basketball coach and the head coach of the Harvard University men's basketball team. He has also coached for the University of Michigan and Seton Hall University. He played point guard and later served as an assistant coach at Duke University under Mike Krzyzewski. I think for the road we've traveled this is a significant achievement for our kids. The way we've been able to get to this moment has been to stay focused and take things as they come. Hopefully they will feel honored and deserving and keep it in perspective.

I don't think one win or one loss puts you in or takes you out. I really don't believe it works that way. I think the thing that is helpful for us and healthy for us is to focus on what's in front of us. If we can somehow put together a terrific effort and win that first game, then I can say it doesn't hurt our chances for making the NCAA tournament field.

For us, we know the rivalry, the proximity and that we hadn't won this game in a long time, so we're pleased. The focus for us was to try to stay in the hunt for the conference title.

There are trappings in every step along the trail. Concerns over complacency or (being) overconfident and feeling too good about yourself. But I'm hopeful and I'm very confident given the group that we have that these guys are going to maintain their focus and their hunger. They'll push forward.

We always know the follow-up of an emotional win or loss is critical. We certainly know there's a lot of basketball to be played, and the focus for us is to stay in the hunt for the conference title.

We felt we owed it to them - that we were going to go as they go. They were going to lead this. And I wasn't concerned about anyone but our seniors. Everyone else had to figure it out and get on board.
