We're not being productive with runners on base. That's the bottom line. When we get runners on base, no one is stepping up and making the big hit for us. That's what you've got to do in close games.

We really didn't do much at the plate. Our hits were spread out and nothing together. Alma had runners aboard every inning. We had a hard time getting that first batter out.

We had some things going early but couldn't capitalize. Those last three runs proved really important because it really gave us some distance.

We may tweak things a little bit. When we get runners on base, we have to get them around to score. We will do what ever it takes.
They are all big. We just have to play with what we have and see what happens.

There's still next week to go. That's what it amounts to at this point for the fourth place.

We feel like we are farther ahead defensively than we ever have been. We have been outside every day except for two since January. With that comes a lot of field experience.

I thought Neely would be the designated hitter but he has worked himself into a starting position. Neely is one of our best defensive players in the infield.

I thought Lee Hall hit the ball well. But outside of that, we were just here and there. We couldn't get good hits when we needed them.

We were hitting the ball and making contact, but we just weren't able to put anything together after that. There's not much else to say about that.
