It was kind of a hot and cold day, ... It was very hot, as I hit the ball within a foot of the hole four times today. But my play off the tee was not very good.

I didn't learn how to swing a golf club until late in my career. And even though I won all those tournaments, I still struggled with consistency, and I relied on my strengths, which were hitting the ball long and high, and I could chip and putt with the best of 'em.

So at St. Andrews, coming up the last hole with him, it all hit me: the kind of man he is, the battles we had, and especially, that this was the end. . . . That was very emotional.

I hit the ball pretty close to the hole all day, ... It was an easy day to score. The wind wasn't blowing. The TPC of Dearborn, when the conditions are soft like this, if you're driving the ball half decently, you're going to do pretty well.
