champions changed golfer mean national open since tour
Nothing has changed just because I'm getting older. I'm a golfer who has wanted to play in the Open since I was a teenager. Just because I'm on the Champions Tour does not mean that I shouldn't want to play in our national championship.

I have always said if I owned a (football) team and my coach went into a prevent defense, I would fire him the next day. But when you have a seven-stroke lead, it's hard not to. I would not say I went into a total prevent defense because I was hitting some good shots, but I wasn't shooting at pins. It really is a strange mindset.

I have lots of confidence on this course. It's one of the best driving courses we play on the Champions Tour. Just enough rough to give you some problems.

It's just nice to play well again. Once I get going, I feel like I can sustain it. I think I'm really starting to feel like I've done all the work.
