affect certain coaches eventually fired hired huge minus ncaa plus rule teams
It will never even out because you never know which years certain teams are good, and that's nobody's fault, not the Big Ten, not the coaches, not anyone. But when coaches are hired and fired on it, and when eventually you're going to be seeded in the NCAA Tournament, a real huge plus or a rule huge minus can affect a lot of teams.
credit hung number ridiculous ugly
The turnovers were made at ridiculous times. And the number ... Give them credit. They (Iowa) hung in there. It was an ugly game.
difference great job
The turnovers, I told you, would make a big difference in the game. We did a great job there.
brought deserved given harder night practice sure worked
They deserved to win. I'm not sure they worked any harder (than his team) in practice, but on this given night they brought it. It was their night and they deserved it.
athletic biggest chance front gives maybe played score size team teams
They are maybe the biggest team in size on that front line, but I think it gives us a chance to play more people. They're not as athletic up front. They're don't score as much up front as some of the teams we've played recently.
critical injuries people valuable
They are valuable guys. It is a critical injury. But people have had more injuries than we've had.
compared couple giving hours talking terms
Talking about sacrificing in terms of giving up a couple of hours compared to giving up a life, they just don't match.
everybody job life mine opportunity president understand united whether
It's distracting. I understand everybody has a job to do. I just don't know what you say. You never can be right. . . . Everybody has to look at every opportunity in life whether it's in your profession, mine or the president of the United States.
athletes board coached drawing good harder next players
It's back to the drawing board on defense. We have good enough athletes and good enough players to get it done. But they're going to be coached harder in the next three-and-a-half days.
appreciate either michigan minnesota state team
I told my team I really appreciate it when you get what you deserve. Minnesota got what they deserved. Michigan State got what they deserved, and there's really not a lot of complaining to do either way.
conference might start toughest
It might be the toughest six-game start in any conference anywhere.
awards detroit four honor nice players share speaks talent three willing
It's a nice honor to have three players recognized. I think it speaks not only to the talent of those players but also their unselfishness to be willing to share awards with their teammates, much like the Detroit Pistons had four all-stars, but no one who started in the all-star game.
eight games nba reminds seven year
It reminds you of the NBA draft. If you play well at the end of the year one time, the other 30 games don't matter. There are times we could be a five, six, seven or an eight team. It just depends.
anybody apples athlete certain creates fill guard guys inside player problems reason replace type versatile
The only reason I'd say no to that is because it's the type of player he is. We have other guys that can fill in in certain spots, but it's the athlete, it's the versatile 6-6, 6-7 athlete that can guard inside guys and guards, and that's where it creates some problems for us. It's not really replacing apples to apples. Anybody else that we replace him with is a completely different kind of athlete.
