against beat certainly coaching hands hear kids motivation next points respect sat weeks west
We certainly respect them, they put it on us by 26 points on the road. With or without Bulger, we?re going to have our hands full. When we got beat by West Virginia, for the next two weeks we all had to hear about it. I don?t think that sat well with our kids and our coaching staff. So we have all the motivation in the world to come out and play well against West Virginia.
believed built heart perplexed relationship
We were shocked. We really believed in our heart that through the relationship we had built with her that she wanted to come to Louisville. We were perplexed by what actually happened.
coach hear hope losing ready respect team west
I have all the respect in the world for coach Carey. I know he has done everything to get this team back on track, and they will be ready to play us. We just hope we can play and not have to hear about losing to West Virginia. That was painful.
excited hear time
I think they?re excited about it. They can hear about (being in the Big East) or read about it in the papers, but now here we are. I think they?re excited to see what the big time is all about.
game hear knew sitting watching
We were very frustrated. As I was sitting watching the Temple-Rutgers game on TV, I was saying, 'Please, Rutgers win.'... I know Vivian and I knew she was going to let them hear about it.
anxious east hearing reading time tournament
They've been hearing about and reading about being in the Big East, and now here we are. We're in the Big East tournament and I think they're anxious to see what the big time is about.
hard ready saw
This was kind of a hard one to take. I don't think we saw it coming. I thought we were ready to play.
certainly compete hope
We certainly haven't been through anything like this with this team. I hope we're ready. If not, we're not going to be able to compete at this level.
against games ncaa player programs shine step talent type
When we play games against top-10 programs and in the NCAA Tournament, she's the type of player who's going to step up and shine and take us to another level. That's how much talent she has.
game intensity level stepped terms
When she stepped on the floor, her game went to another level in terms of intensity with a little more focus.
dice guard left tried
We left her unguarded on purpose. We rolled the dice with her. We tried to guard her late, but we didn't get it done.
against clearly guard left nine purpose straight team
We clearly left her unguarded on purpose at times because we were concentrating on their other kids. We rolled the dice. When you play against a team that's got like nine or 10 all-Americans and you can't guard all of them straight up, you have to take your chances.
draws focal herself needs numbers starting
She's the focal point. She draws a lot of attention. But she needs to look to herself as a focal point. Her numbers are starting to come back up.
attention focus frustrated good job simply year
She's battled at times this year just because she's the focus of attention defensively. And we simply haven't done a good job of getting her the ball. I think at times that has frustrated her.
