characters delivering devoted evolving keeping keeps longtime series
One of the things I've found most challenging about writing a multibook series is keeping it fresh and evolving while still delivering the familiarity that keeps longtime fans devoted to the characters and story world.
character heart unique
From a writer's standpoint, each character and story presents its own unique challenges and delights. I'm deeply curious about all of my characters, and I love peeling away their layers to see what's underneath their skin, or secreted deep within their hearts.
ears safe embrace
Nikolai stroked her cheek, then wrapped her in his embrace. “You’re safe,” he said tenderly beside her ear. “I’ve got you, and I’m going to keep you safe.
gun three magazines
Renata reached out for the gun nearest to her and a full magazine of rounds. She had the weapon loaded, locked and ready for action in three seconds flat. Niko had never seen anything sexier in his life.
blood giving asking

kissing flames ignite
You are pure flame. I touch you and I ignite. I kiss you and I burn to have more. You consume me… like no other woman before you, and, I am certain, like no other ever could again.
brother blood spite

love-you needs beloved
I’ll admit it to you now, and to anyone, anytime. I need you, Elise. I love you. You are mine. My woman, my mate, my beloved. My everything.
boys defeat said
I’m ready when you are, Lucan.” “Okay,” he said, shaking his head in defeat. “Let’s go get our boy.
want grew grew-up
Someone remind me why I didn’t want to be an accountant when I grew up,” Brock drawled. Niko chuckled. “Because accountants don’t get to make things go boom.
love-you want sides
I love you so much … I don’t want to live a single moment without you at my side.
girl home want
I want to take my girls home.
color flying tests
So much for keeping things business when it came to Jenna Darrow. If this had been a test, he figured he’d just failed it with flying colors.
writing romance historical
My final historical romance came out December 2005. While I enjoyed writing medieval romances, I was also dying to write something with more edge.
