bouncing good kept net perseverance plugging poise puck
We showed some pretty good poise there and kept plugging away. Just getting the puck to the net and bouncing the puck off somebody's stick, or whatever. It was good perseverance there.
chipping good kept looked might point run week
At that point it looked like it might be slipping away and we just kept chipping away one week at a time. Before you know it, we were on a real good run down the stretch.
broke chances comeback dam ended eventually frustrated game good lots stuck talked
We had lots of chances and eventually the dam broke and we ended up with a real good comeback win. We talked about not getting frustrated if didn't come easy. We didn't get off track. We stuck to the game plan.
good great last meeting met next number played rivalry sure
We've met a lot. It's a very good rivalry and I'm sure it's going to be a great game. (We've played well this year) But they had our number last year. This next meeting is the most important of all.
best both giving good helping improve inspiring opportunity plays relationship seems strong
Right now, giving them both the opportunity to play is in the team's best interest. We will need them both to be strong all the way through. When one plays well, the other seems to play well. I have sensed a very good competitive relationship there. They are helping each other to improve and inspiring each other with their play. That's what you want, a healthy-competitive relationship.
becomes difficult eyes good net saves screens second third
Like any good goalie, it becomes more difficult to make saves if you take his eyes away on screens and get to the net on second and third shots.
bounce fought good knew michigan sitting state sudden tough wishing
We knew it was going to be a tough game. Michigan State was not going to go down easily. They fought back. They're down one goal. A bounce one way and all of a sudden it's in the net, and we could be sitting here wishing Michigan State good luck.
challenge four good gotten last past played row
We have been getting good starts. The last four in a row we've played a good first, so I think we have gotten past that for the most part. I think the challenge for us is to play consistently for 60 minutes.
college consistent difficult example good moments run team together
It's very difficult to put a consistent run together in college hockey, and I think we're a good example of that. We've had our moments but at the same time, we're very beatable as well. I think a team like BU is a good example.
bit cost frozen good ironic reason special
That's probably the only reason we're here in the Frozen Four, because we had such good special teams. So it's a bit ironic that that cost us in this game.
break coming continuing effort exactly finally game goals good hard ice key knew needed power puck solid special team
It was a good solid team effort today. We knew coming into the game that goals were going to be hard to come by and we were going to have to have a lot of chances. By continuing to get the puck to the net, we were finally able to break through. Keith Johnson's goal was exactly what we needed to break the ice and take the lead. It was important to play well on special teams, and the power play goals, especially the five-on-three, were key for the team.
against backs deserve fate goal good guys intensity knew result road time tough worked
It was a big, big weekend. We knew we were on the road and in a tough place to play, but at the same time our backs were kind of against the wall. Our guys did play well. I thought we had good intensity and we worked hard. So did Northeastern, but in the end we were one goal better tonight. But the result could have been very different. I thought they did deserve a better fate tonight.
built chipping good kept run season slip
They weren't going to let the season slip away. They kept chipping away, they built some momentum, and before you know it, we were on a real good run down the stretch.
cloud excited feeling good hours lost north patient tournament tried
We're excited to be in the tournament and really excited to be in the east. We tried to be as patient as we could for 30-something hours and we had a good feeling we'd be in once St. Cloud lost to North Dakota.
