Probably the best knuckleball I threw all day. It got away from Josh. It's the nature of the beast sometimes. But I thought Josh did a great job back there.
You just try and focus on the next hitter and try and get an out. The fourth inning was horrible for me. But our offense did a tremendous job of picking me up.
I felt good. I got some work in and got my pitch count up a little higher than I did last time. I think Josh Bard did a great job back there.
He did a good job today back there. First time getting in the game is a totally different animal than catching on the side. I thought he did a really good job back there today.
I had good stuff from the bullpen going into the game. The ball stayed up for Stairs, and from there it was a battle to keep the team in the game the rest of the way. You hate to put your team in a deficit right away. Manny got us back in the game, and it was my job to keep us there.
All three of them have done a great job of catching me. I don't have a preference of who I throw to.
I've never seen a guy work so hard, and he inspired me to really work at my craft and perfect it as much as possible. In between starts he worked his tail off to get better for his next start. That's one thing that I've carried in my career in Boston.
I've seen a lot of changes over my 12 years here. Some have been great. Some have been bad. I think the change this year is great.
Randy pitched unbelievably today and unfortunately we came out on the short end of the stick. He had his A-game today and it was unfortunate we had to face that today.

You always want to get back out there. I had pretty good stuff in Texas, almost too good. I couldn't control it and I couldn't throw it for strikes. When that happens, you start walking guys and it leads to really big innings. Today I felt more comfortable.

We came in today knowing we needed to win. We didn't want to back into the playoffs by having Cleveland lose and we lose. We came out and played hard.
That's the plan. It's worked before between Pedro and Schilling and myself. You'd have to ask hitters if it really makes a difference, but I think if you get in a three-game series with Schilling, myself and (Josh) Beckett, that kind of contrast, I think chances are pretty good if we all have our 'A' games that day.
