We came out fired up. This was a big game for us and it was one that we should have and did win.

When you are small like we are at every position, you have to create tempo. We pushed the ball and tried to make it a full court game and did a pretty decent job of it. Unfortunately for us we couldn't take home the win.

I thought that defensively we struggled. We gave up 43 points in the second and third quarters and that's not acceptable. We need to win games on the defensive end of the floor.

Anytime you get a win like this on the road, it's a big win. This is the first time we've been able to go there and pull out a win. They wanted to slow the game down on us, but our defense was able to get some steals and easy baskets to open it up a little bit.

I was very pleased with how hard the kids worked, especially in that hot weather. After a 2-1/2 hour bus trip and to walk away with a win against a good football team, that is incredible. It was great team effort and I am proud as heck of the kids.

We jumped out early and then maintained our advantage throughout. We played well, not great but well enough to get the victory.

We had our chances late in this game, but we wasted a couple of possessions with a lack of execution. We got a great shot at the end of the game. It just didn't work out for us.

It seemed we just couldn't quite get over the hump. We shot the ball well, rebounded with them even though they had a considerable size advantage but we just couldn't get over the hump.

It was a great honor to hold this tournament in his memory. He was not only a great sportsman but also a great friend.

It was a big game. They are a physical team. They always are physical. I'm real proud of the linemen on both sides of the ball.
