asked ball basic compact few game gave guys halftime last middle offender playing start top wider work
We just gave them a few basic instructions and they didn't really do what I asked them to do. I asked them at halftime, they play a very compact game and they like to start everything in the middle and work their way out, so I asked our guys at halftime to start playing the ball wider and over the top of their last offender and they just didn't do it as much as they should have.
amount couple fair kids playing
We have a very inexperienced team. We have a couple of kids that got a fair amount of playing time.
gave nobody physically stayed
We hustled, we stayed with them physically and nobody gave up. That is what I liked.
bad create favor gods good guys liked saw soccer teams
The soccer Gods aren't in our favor right now. We are getting a lot of bad breaks. Good teams create good luck. We're getting better. I liked what I saw out a lot of guys tonight.
advantage ball changing decent job point several terms time wide
We did a decent job of working on what we wanted to in terms of changing the point of attack. Getting the ball wide, getting it in, getting it wide again. We didn't take advantage of several of our opportunities. For the first time out I'm pleased.
carry carter few guys high others round step strong
We have some strong players. Cory, Carter Mills, Bram Simms all play at a very high level. I see that to be our strength. I don't see them as the guys that can carry the team. We need to find a few others that play all-year round that need to step up.
consider game goal guys help hold moral played pleased pressure quality somewhat team
We were under pressure all game long and I was somewhat pleased with the outcome. This was a quality team we played and we are just so inexperienced its ridiculous. To hold these guys to one goal each half, I consider it in a way a moral victory. I think it is going to do nothing but help our team.
awful defensive good hoping kyle speed works
Phillip is just a hard-nosed player. He's more of a defensive player. We're hoping Kyle Masson works out. He has very good speed. Speed can do an awful lot.
hard luckily step work
Luckily he didn't have to work as hard or often in as other games. When we need him to step up, he does.
bad ball cross few good players
We always say a bad cross can be a good shot. You never know, you put a ball in play like that and we have a few players that can do something with it.
balls expected field guys hold kept knocking middle normal seem steady
We kept knocking balls out of bounds, I don't know what it was. Some of the guys I expected to play their normal game, which is a pretty steady game, and they didn't play well. We didn't seem to hold the middle of the field real well.
asked ball guys
We didn't get the ball wide, which I asked the guys to do. It was like they didn't want to be out there tonight.
beginning rather unlucky
I told them I'd rather be unlucky at the beginning of the season, than at the end of the season.
asked execute few forest guys knew park pattern quality specific teams top wish
Forest Park is one of the top teams in the region. We knew going in that they have quality players. They have a specific pattern they play. We asked our guys to do a few things, but they didn't execute the way I wish they had, but even so I am not disappointed with the effort.
