atlanta bit braves city coming good knew ride shot team time win
Any time you think about Atlanta Braves baseball, you think about the postseason and success, ... Coming over here, I knew that they were going to have a shot to do something special. It's been a little bit of a roller-coaster ride this year, but we're here right now. We feel like we have a good team that's going to be able to go out there and win and put up a championship for the city of Atlanta.
atlanta came close guys hat head heat loved obviously position putting respect rooting seen spectator taken themselves tie tip
Obviously I would have loved to have seen us close it out and head to Atlanta with a 'W,' but they battled and got themselves into position to tie it up, ... After that, I was a spectator in here rooting guys on. You've got to tip your hat to all our guys in the bullpen. They've taken a lot of heat all year. Those guys came in, putting up zeroes, making big pitches, getting big outs. Going 18 innings, I have a lot of respect for those guys. They went out and battled, but they just outlasted us.
atlanta believe bobby braves childhood dream fan few grew hard hours legendary manager south traded
When I was traded from the Oakland A's to the Atlanta Braves before the 2005 season, a childhood dream was realized. I grew up a Braves fan just a few hours south of Atlanta, and it was hard for me to believe that I was going to actually play for the Atlanta Braves and legendary manager Bobby Cox.
answered atlanta bobby career chance early fan god grew guys huge john jones watching wondered
I was a huge fan of Bobby Cox, a huge fan of Chipper Jones and John Smoltz. And just those guys, I grew up watching those guys and often wondered early on in my career if I would ever have the chance to play for the Atlanta Braves, and there it was. God kind of answered my prayers.
atlanta braves children crazy life thankful upbringing
The Atlanta Braves are really all that our children know about this crazy baseball life, and we are so thankful for this upbringing for them.
atlanta brave excited game grew pitching rooting
I'm excited about being here in an organization that I grew up rooting for, ... I'm excited about being an Atlanta Brave and pitching in Game 1.
baseball bring hard step
We've still got to go out there, play these out, play hard and try to bring some playoff-type baseball into the dugout. We need to step it up and bring some passion.

We stabilize the folks police bring to us, whether it's by medication we prescribe or their own medication, so they can be released to a family member or go back to jail.

We're an out-patient service. We can't keep people overnight. But we'll get on the phone and call around, to Tulsa or Joplin if necessary, to find a place to take them.
backs chance good scenario wish
I wish I didn't have to pitch. But the way the scenario is, we've kind of got our backs to the wall, ... I want to be out there if something is on the line. I feel like I should be out there to give us a good chance to win.
breakup five gone good home schedule stink wear week
I think home a week, gone a week is a good breakup of the schedule. What's going to stink is we're only home for five days. You kind of wear it when the schedule isn't in your favor.
good hit realized slider start throw until
My slider was really good to start the game. I realized that. Just throw it until they hit it.
billy conscious effort family heard rather rumors somewhere trade traded
I wasn't that shocked, I had heard the rumors that something could happen, so it wasn't out of the blue. I think that if Billy were going to trade me, he was going to make a conscious effort to trade me somewhere where my family would be happy. And there isn't another place that I'd rather be traded to than Atlanta.
