You always want that dream trip to the state tournament. The kids were hungry. The kids weren't satisfied. We just ran out of gas, we ran out of time.

That's a tribute to (Carey coach) C.J. (Kin). His kids aren't going to back down from anybody. That's typical of teams that get to this spot. They're not going to lay down and die.

I think his biggest improvement overall has been the ability to take jump shots off the dribble. He did that tonight. Also defensively he's become more of a communicator and not just a shot blocker.
