alter close guy joe keeps key opportunity post rebound switch
When we have the opportunity to put Joe on a post guy it keeps him close to the rim. He can rebound and alter shots. That switch was a big key to getting us back in the game.
defending guys teams
We're getting a lot of guys involved. That's important. We're defending teams as well as we have all year.
advantage guys open post quick running shots
We're not going to take quick shots that aren't open ... I think we can take advantage of our post guys running well.
grown guys key
A big key is we have to finish. I think these guys have grown up a lot over 19 games.
bad couple guy sneaky
Chad's done that all year. He's always been that sneaky guy to get a couple of baskets to get you back in it. It's too bad he's a 6-foot post. It's too bad he's not 6-5, if he was he'd be All-Ohio.
guard joe post
We're going to have to guard them very tough. And Joe (Kalb) will be guarding one of the post guys.
games helps joe kids open played player rust
I think the rust is off, we've played enough games now that the kids know where each other are going to be on the court. Having an All-Ohio player like Joe Kalb also helps to open things up a lot.
ability biggest improvement jump overall shots
I think his biggest improvement overall has been the ability to take jump shots off the dribble. He did that tonight. Also defensively he's become more of a communicator and not just a shot blocker.
foul line situation
I thought if we were in a situation where we had to put them at the foul line we would be in trouble.
best defensive half held points score second
I think this was our best defensive half of the season. We let them score handily in the first half. But we held them to 18 points in the second half. That's pretty good.
afraid looks matter mentally month offense shots sync takes tonight
Our offense hasn't been in sync for about a month now. It looks like were afraid to takes shots and for that matter make shots, and tonight we just didn't look like we were mentally prepared.
needed
Nate can make the shots. We really needed him to look at the basket, and he did.
kids lay teams tribute typical
That's a tribute to (Carey coach) C.J. (Kin). His kids aren't going to back down from anybody. That's typical of teams that get to this spot. They're not going to lay down and die.
form good kyle
Kyle is kind of in mid-season form right now. That's good for us.
