We didn't have the edge we needed tonight. They shot 50 percent from the floor. We need to shore up our defense right now going into the final few games of the season.
I think Pop's still mad that we should have had 81 (victories) or something. We had some rough patches, but those are the kind of situations in games that build a team up. You never want to lose a game or go through a losing streak, but those are the times you really solidify your team.
We all didn't have that edge we needed. Offensively, they did kind of whatever they wanted to do. We can't win games like that.
We need to get some of that funk out. We've had some bad games and some losses at home.
It's a situation you obviously don't want to be in, but those two games are gone. Our concern now is these next two games. They're going to be big for us. We have to shift our focus to that.
What they have done over the last two games is make us react to what they do, ... They have been aggressive defensively and they have got us back on our heels and they make us kind of counter what they are doing instead of them countering what we're doing.
I'm just going to play whatever game is in front of me.
I'm not better when I force shots. I'm going to take them as they come. They are really sagging in there, trying to take me out of the game. It's my job to find guys. I want to be aggressive and take my shots, but I can't force them.
Tony was great tonight and as solid as he has been all season. The Hornets shot the ball better than we would have liked them to tonight, but overall this was a good win.
It was a huge key. He really hurt us last time. We decided to come after him and make them change their game a little bit.
They approached us with the problem, and we fixed it. We dont see any of that as a breach of contract.
Bruce is always awesome, it doesn't matter who (he's defending), Kobe or anybody else in the league, ... He's going to make them work for every point that they get. ... He was in (Bryant's) face every shot he took.
Beno has been playing great for us. With Nick out right now, Beno is getting a lot of minutes and he has really responded well.
Everything's not clicking yet, but we're heading that way. It was a great learning experience today being able to fight back and staying with each other.
