build came college greatest ohio programs state vision
In 2004 when we came to Ohio State, we had a vision for this program. This vision is to get Ohio State back and build it into one of the greatest programs in college basketball.
beaten finally forward honestly move ohio point time
Honestly, I'm so beaten down by this thing, it only makes sense it would come around here (now). But I just honestly want to know when and what it is and finally from that point we can, for the first time at Ohio State, say, this is where we are. And move forward from there.
affected since team
We've been on probation since I've been here, so it hasn't affected our team at all.
came case finally great months move studies today
Today?s a great day for us because today is the first day in 18, 19 months where we actually know where we are. As much as we speculated, as much as we thought it through and did the case studies and all those things, it finally came to an end today, and now we know and now we move forward.
against challenge hit opened second shots step
We really had to step up and challenge our guys. In the second half, we were able to hit some shots against the zone, and that opened things up for us.
ten tremendous
I think the Big Ten is a tremendous league.
defense earlier finishing last played time
He's finishing better than he was earlier in the season. His defense was 100 times better than the last time we played Michigan.
best came care defense earlier finishing lesson practice session shape took
I think he's in the best shape of his life. He's finishing much better than earlier in the season. I thought, as well as he scored and rebounded, his defense was 100 times better than it was at Michigan. He got a real film session lesson (Friday) before practice on what he had to do. To his credit, he came out and took care of business.
against bench biggest both games lift
That was probably the lift we needed. In both of our games against Michigan, our bench has been the biggest difference.
crack crazy games involved last plays toughest
That was one of the toughest games I've ever been involved in. It was a game of crazy plays and, fortunately, we got the last crack at it.
anyone committed credit focused guys imagine needed please solid team
I don't think anyone can ever imagine -- please don't give me any credit for this. It's those 11 guys in there. They've been as solid and focused and committed as we could ask. I don't know if I've ever had a team more committed to just going out and doing what it needed to do.
asked foundation future good guys help lay looks
I asked these guys to help lay the foundation for the future of this program. It looks pretty damned good to me right now.
home play ncaa
It is a tremendous honor to be a No. 2 seed, and to get to play so close to home in Dayton. It is an incredible feeling, and it will be interesting to start preparing. But right now we need some rest and then we'll get our guys going for the NCAA Tournament.
basketball college ohio-state
The greatest words you hear in college basketball are Ohio State advances. (The Iowa upset) is amazing. But again, it's all the proof you need that there's no guarantee.
