ball batting develop fence goes help hit home knock men pleased position power runs scoring team tough trying whether
I was very pleased with what I saw, and I think he can be a big part of this team. First, we are going to go about trying to develop a .300 hitter. And if the home runs follow, that would be great. You can hit for power without having the ball go over the fence. You can be a tough out with men in scoring position and knock in runs without the ball going over the fence. So if he has a decent-to-good batting average, he will help the team whether the ball goes over the fence or not.
ball definitely good hit hitting rehab trying wind
He definitely wasn't trying to hit the ball over the fence. This was about getting your balance, your bearings, hitting with the wind blowing. I thought he had a very good day on the rehab trail.
behind both maybe
Both of them know their all-star years and their big statistical years are behind them and maybe they wanted to let things come to an end.
basically bunch goes happy light outcome switch veteran
We basically have a veteran bunch of players, so they know what to do once the light switch goes on. I'm very happy with the outcome today.
hit home main might objective personal pressure runs strong
I think that might be his own personal feeling. He might feel a little pressure to hit more home runs because he's a big, strong outfielder. But for me, the home runs really aren't a factor. It would be nice, but that's not my main objective with Luis.
ball brought bullet came double ended guys hit home left low minnesota remember slider sure threw triple turn
I remember him when I was with Baltimore. When Kirby came up to home plate, he was so doggone dangerous. He could take you out in left field. He could take you out in right field. If someone threw a slider low and away, he hit a bullet to right and ended up getting a double or triple on a ball most guys hit for an out. If you brought the ball up and in, he'd turn on you. I want to make sure that's the Kirby Puckett we have in Minnesota in 1991.
believe ends hard knew looking playing surprised terribly val wherever works
If you knew Val like we know him in the organization, you wouldn't be terribly surprised that he's progressed so fast. He's a real hard worker. Sometimes, believe it or not, he works too hard and you have to back him off a little bit. He's progressed just fine, and I'm looking for him to have a big year, wherever he ends up playing this year.

Not a man to mince words. People, yes. But not words.

I could send you a bone with a file in it, only you'd eat it.
attitude people today
It seems that in almost all societies, the attitudes that people have to language change is basically the same. People everywhere tend to say that the older form of a language is in some sense 'better' than the form that is being used today.
