We have some really small schools that are so small that they can't even afford counselors, librarians and nurses. All of these schools are big, and they all have doors around the campus, and obviously if a door is left ajar, certainly it is possible for someone to get in. That's why we have officers walking the halls and teachers walking the halls and administrators walking the halls, looking for anyone who is there who shouldn't be there.

We understand the concern of the parents. Our first concern, of course, was the safety of the children. When TSU informed us that the building was dangerous, we moved very quickly to relocate the children. Officials here have worked many hours since then to find a permanent home for MCTC and have had many discussions with parents to keep them updated on the search.
