carry gets senior team
She gets better every outing. That's what a senior does. Sometimes they have to take the team on their back and carry them.
great lose softball won
It was just a great softball game. We didn't lose that game, they won it. It was a great battle. They just executed a little more than we did.
bottom errors extra game learn teams until
It was a back-and-forth game until the bottom of the sixth. We started off with two fielding errors and they had a bases-loaded double. We have to learn not to give teams extra outs.
ball hit sioux
It was a pitcher's duel. We hit the ball really hard, but right at Sioux Falls.
caught controlled dominated game high level played tale
It was kind of a tale of two games. In game one, we dominated and controlled things offensively and defensively and played with a high level of energy. In game two, we got caught flat-footed a little bit.
bad excited facing good horrible learn work
They are very good and very well-coached. We're excited (about facing them again). We'll do some different things defensively and work on our mentality. If we can learn from this, it wasn't a bad day. If we don't, then it was a horrible day.
ball good hard hit hitting innings
We hit the ball hard the first two innings right at Wayne. If you keep hitting the ball hard, good things will happen.
game playing softball taking timing together
We're taking our lumps. A lot of it is just playing together and being outside. Softball is a game of timing and you can't get that from the Barnett Center.
late matter team
This was just a really well-played game. It was just a matter of which team would get the late break.
good runners second twice unable
We had runners at first and second twice with no out and were unable to score. We did everything else as good or better than they did.
audrey cost error instead pitcher rough three
Audrey (starting pitcher Decker) had a a rough start. She should have been down 1-0 instead of 4-0 at the end of the second. An error cost us three runs.
days goes ladies respond teams
Days like this happen. Teams have days where nothing goes right. It's how you respond to them. I told the ladies I was disappointed for them and not at them.
against amount awful coach division fortunate great northern opened opportunity position respect tremendous
I've always wanted to be here. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Northern State, and I wanted to coach at the Division II level. I have nothing against the NAIA, I just want to be a Division II coach. So when the position opened up, I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to be here. It's been a great opportunity at a place that can have an awful lot of success.
ball both capable hitting knew lift teams
Psychologically, it was the lift we needed. Both teams were hitting the ball really well. We were just hitting right with them, which is something I knew we were capable of doing.
