Theodore Townsend Purdyis an American professional golfer. Purdy was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in 1992. The wind came up about the seventh hole. Fortunately, I was four-under before that. I had the eighth hole, a long par three, and it was straight downwind. That actually helped on that hole.
draw drew dumb pin took trying
I took out a 5-iron and I was trying to draw it into the pin to make a birdie. I drew it too much and it went into the water. In hindsight, it was a pretty dumb thing to do, but I was trying to make a birdie.

They say a 10 mph wind can have about a 2-inch effect on a 10-foot putt. That makes it really difficult, since you have to read the green and read the wind.
