attention paying players saw week
I thought our players were really paying attention this week in practice. They saw her in person and they said, 'Wow! OK, we know what we need to do.
great immediate impact numbers player sure
I'm not sure any player has had as immediate and great an impact as she has. Her numbers are incredible.
challenge challenges coaches great oklahoma played players team
Oklahoma has a great team and they played really well. It's a challenge for the players on our team, but they like challenges and our coaches like challenges, so we will do what we have to do to get ready.
capable double player post stop talented talk tough
Brooke is tough to stop one-on-one. They didn't double her a lot. She's very talented and capable of this kind of game. She was the post player to talk about today.
besides country player seven six stanford team
There's not a player in the country that I'd want on our team besides her. I think she'll have to go to Stanford for about six or seven years.
best chance hardest people players wants win
She wants to win more than anything, so she'll do what it takes. A lot of people want to win, but they won't do what it takes. When your best players are your hardest workers, you have the chance to be very good.
ahead ball coaching country good love player roll team
When you have a big-time player like Candice Wiggins, you just can roll the ball out there and something good will happen. I love coaching Candice. There's not another player in the country I want on this team ahead of her.
include player
Ideally, I'd like to have an eight-or-nine player rotation, and I'd like to include another perimeter contributor.
player training tools
Several of our players at Stanford have used the J-Glove and J-Strap with excellent results. It is a very useful training tool for the player looking to improve both their shot and their percentage. I would recommend it to anyone looking for that extra edge.
deep minutes starters
We're not a deep team. We are not going to play 10, 11 people. Our starters should be able to play 32 or 33 minutes a game, but they shouldn't have to play 40 all the time.
coming excited exciting help intensity last teams time
We did not have the intensity we needed. We did not play them well last time and it will help us coming out and being hungrier. I'm excited for UCLA. It's exciting to have new teams (in the final).
came couple execution felt great guess job last margin needed shot
We did not have a lot of margin for error. I guess it came down to execution. I felt we had a great last shot and it went in. Candice and Brooke did a great job, but we needed a couple more contributions.
experience games played ready road
We have played more games on the road ... we've had that experience already. We're ready to play, and we know we have to play well.
aware ready team
Our team does need to be aware of the significance of (the UA) game, and to be sensitive, but also be ready to play.
