I think the big thing is that homecoming is one of the few events that bring all the organizations together and more people wanted to see that happen earlier in the year and see more of a campus unity instead of waiting until spring.

UMSL has a huge multicultural base and we wanted to incorporate not just the traditional homecoming theme of stars and the moon, we wanted something kind of different this year.
atmosphere campus confusing excitement people rest school stressful
It was stressful and confusing but there's been so much excitement about it on campus and from the rest of the people involved. It's had a completely different atmosphere to it. People come back to school and they're excited.
