exciting hearts host knew national recruiting souls time
Those two have really put their hearts and souls into the program. We knew at the time we were recruiting them that we were going to host this national championship. It's an exciting time for all of us, and especially those two.
count fall fought hard national proud stayed surprising
I think that they went out there a little tight, but that's actually not surprising to me. This was their first national championship. I was really proud that they stayed on their feet. They didn't have to count a fall and they fought hard for things.
build came ended fought national proud season strong
I think that they're frustrated, but also I told them how I was proud of their season and how they came back and fought through things and really ended up pretty strong here at the end. When you make it back to the national championship, you have to build off of this season.
national single surprising tight trying
I think that when they went out they were a little tight because they were trying too hard. But that's actually not surprising to me in that every single one of them, this is the first national championships.
month nationals ncaa run
We'll run through a lot of things that we're going to do at nationals and find out if there are any glitches in the system. That way we can fine-tune. We'll have a month before the national championship and we can get everything in place before we actually run the NCAA Championship.
anymore athlete athletics disease hard parent year
I know this has been a tremendously challenging year for Chris. It's hard when any athlete has to go through something like this, but to have a disease where you can't communicate with your parent anymore is tremendously hard. You can communicate in other ways.
came continue impress meet pleased positives
I'm really pleased with them. They continue to impress me. There are so many positives that came out of this meet and they are right on track.
awesome changes cons definitely pros team
Each team changes but this definitely has been a big change for us. I think there's pros and cons about having a young team and I think right now they're doing an awesome job.
counted counting meet phenomenal remember routine team toward
That is so well deserved. She has competed in every meet in all-around and every routine has counted for us. That is phenomenal in itself. To have every routine you put up counting toward the team score, I don't remember someone actually doing that.
amount build couple days experience learned next tremendous
They learned a tremendous amount from this experience and we're going to take in everything over the next couple of days so that we can build off of this going into next season.
nice push rewarded tie
It was nice for them to tie because they push each other every day. It was nice to see them rewarded at the top.
bit body definitely held knows practice tear
We've held her back a little bit in practice so her body won't tear down, but she's getting more and more confident. She definitely knows how to go out there and compete.
awesome both friendly phenomenal pressures
Those two are doing an an awesome job, especially being freshmen, and the pressures that can come with that. They're both phenomenal gymnasts, and it's kind of like a friendly competition.
ahead couple fight floor job kept phenomenal stanford starting strong team tough vault
Megan did a phenomenal job on vault and floor and starting us off on floor. I think we were only a couple tenths ahead of Stanford going into floor. Stanford's a tough team and you really have to fight through 'til the end, so she really started us off strong on floor and they kept it going on through.
