They (Scott City) have a good team. I think they play both fall and spring ball. We were looking for them to play small ball, so we really practiced against the bunt and it showed today.

She just kept throwing strikes. She got down on the count some, but she just kept on trucking. She didn't let it stop her or get down on herself or anything like that. She kept her game face on.
figured good hung job until
She (Jackson) did a really good job out there today. She hung in there early, until she figured out the wind.

We're a young team. We have a whole lot of young players, but they take the game serious and they want to be good.
ball batter game might overthrow tied
We let the ball get away from us. An overthrow killed us. One more batter and we might have got her out, and the game would have been tied again. ... That overthrow kind of did it right there at the end.
