walk
You'd think we'd walk out with a W.
afraid fearless shoot
Lauren's not afraid to shoot the ball. She's a fearless player, and that's what we need right now.
coached example game good lauren leader passionate player takes type unselfish whatever
Lauren is a leader by example. She's passionate about the game and does a good job. She is a different type of player than I've coached in the past. She's really unselfish and will do whatever it takes to win.
advantage excellent execute finally low players post rest size tonight year
I thought Ilona and the rest of the low post players did an excellent job. We've been working on that all year and tonight I think we were finally able to execute it and take advantage of our size inside.
ball cares gets shoot shooting tough wants
Stacy really cares about winning. She wants to shoot the ball, and she's really tough on herself. We really need her shooting and the way she gets after the ball defensively.
advantage against came careless depth force inside instead moving size
I thought we were careless at times tonight, and I don't know where that came from. We wanted to take advantage of our size and depth inside against this team, and we tended to force things instead of moving the ball.
concerned game strong
I was concerned about this game because I know how strong Auburn is defensively.
basketball defense five held helps job last nice percent rebound shooting teams
I thought we did a nice job on the boards, and I thought our defense was solid. We have held our last five teams under 35 percent shooting and then when you rebound the basketball like we did, it helps you to be successful.
ball team turn understand
You have opportunities and you turn the ball over ... we're better than that. One thing our team is working to understand is a little more of a sense of urgency, a little more aggressiveness without hurrying.
ball easy ended hold home pass run score tried turn turning worked
We had opportunities and we turn the ball over and we're better than that. We worked to not hold the ball for so long because it strengthens the defense. Sometimes in those stretches, we tried to make the home run pass for the easy score but ended up turning it over.
confidence schedule teams tough weather
Not many teams have to come out and play No. 1 and No. 3 and then play on the road. We have confidence in this team. They've got to weather the tough part of this schedule mentally.
coming excited experience happy hard kids march opportunity players position rewarded valuable worked
I'm excited for our kids because they are going to get to experience post-season basketball. They have worked hard for the opportunity to play in March and I am happy to see them in a position to be rewarded for that. With as many players as we have coming back, this is valuable experience.
bubble chance committee good last ncaa
I like being the bubble team. If the NCAA committee will look at our last 10 games, I think we have a very good chance to get in.
days good hard hope ncaa
I hope the NCAA will take a good, hard look at our team. You are going to have days when you do not have good games. We had one of those today.
