That's a good win for us. We are excited to get that win. . . . We had to outscore them. They missed enough shots that we were all right. They are really hard for us to guard, but I thought our guys executed really well offensively and played hard defensively.
Their heart was in their throat just like mine. But at least they get a nice drive home and so do we. It's a lot easier to do a four-and-a-half hour bus ride after a win.
I'm hearing all this about the Missouri Valley getting three, four five teams in and the Colonial is going to get two or three.
I'd rather have the time they have before that game. That's just the way the schedule falls. We've been the beneficiary of that before. This time we're not.
I don't think the last two or three weeks have anything to do with how you are going to play in the tournament.
I'm proud of our team. We battled and hung in there. It was a great win for us.
