I've never been through so many ups and downs in one season. To go from starter to not playing. To go from traded to not traded and to play again, it's been crazy. It taught me to keep things in perspective and enjoy basketball. I come to the gym ready to play and good things happen.

bone doctors due earlier game injury missed months order passed physical practice sign since three wrong
I was very surprised, because three months earlier our doctors passed me in the physical in order for me to sign my contract. I haven't missed a game or practice due to any injury since 2002. So I don't think anything's wrong with my bone structure, knees, joints or ankles. They just said I didn't pass the physical and rescinded the trade. But I feel fine.

It felt good just playing, to instill some confidence back in my game, get some rhythm out on the court, get some repetitions. I'm glad I could help the team tonight and we pulled out a big win, for our confidence, and also for the rankings of the Eastern Conference. Now we move ahead of these guys.

I wish things could've worked out differently so I could've stayed, ... I'm just happy it's over and I can look forward to the future. I still love Phoenix and the fans. I really appreciate everything the Suns did for me and that coach (Mike) D'Antoni stayed with me through the ups and downs and gave me a chance to show what I can do in the playoffs.

I had packed all my stuff. I had about eight bags in the airport. I put my house up for sale. For something like this to happen it was very, very stressful.

We go the lead and kind of tightened up and they hit big shots down the stretch and we didn't. That's the kind of thing where you're missing your star player and he would've been able to bring this one home for us.
