I have spoken to every merchant around the square, telling them the square would be closed from 4 to 8:30 p.m.. Every merchant said he or she appreciates the opportunity to keep later hours and said their sales increase during the Rend Lake Car Show.

They block off the square and reroute traffic while the car show is going on. We really appreciate their help.

We will accept entries up until the time of the show. The first 125 registrants will receive a goody bag. We always give prizes to the first 125 entries. Last year the prize was a collapsible cooler. This year the prize will be a Rend Lake Car Show cap.

We have 30 other sponsors, mostly auto-related businesses in Benton and West City, but we also receive support from banks and insurance companies.
beach boys car hear motown music normally offered provide radio sent third year
WQRL Radio will play 1950s and 60s music specifically for the car show. This is the third year they have offered to provide music that they normally don't play on the air. We will hear more Beach Boys and Motown music than is usually sent over the airwaves.
