coming emphasis games good power putting shift statement team though won
We weren't putting that much emphasis on the games coming in, so even though we won two, we're still not emphasizing them that much. This isn't about a shift in power in the division. We just made the statement that we're a good team that's going to be able to compete.
belt couple difference game good great knew march road tough trip
We've got one game still to go, and it will be the difference between a good trip and a great trip. But we knew March was going to be tough with a couple of these long road trips. It's good to get one under our belt with some success.
game hopefully hoping ice louis playoffs quick ready seems since skated
I'm hoping to get in another game before the playoffs start, but every day it seems to be getting better so hopefully I'm ready then. It's just not getting better as quick as I thought it would. I skated in St. Louis on Tuesday, but I haven't been back on the ice since then.
care far games good looking night taking
We've been good at not looking too far ahead. We have been taking care of games one night at a time.
behind catch games guys left looking room sure trying work
We're not looking behind us now, we're not going to look behind us at all. We're trying to catch Detroit. We're trying to make sure we've got home-ice advantage. There are still (28) games left in the season, so there is a lot of work to be done. We have the guys in the room to do it.
coming game momentum score swings
It kind of swings momentum our way. They score that goal, they've got all the momentum, they're coming after us. Tomas makes the big save, we go down, we make it 4-1, 5-1, then the game is out of reach.
bad creating few five game goals gotten last lucky might per played scoring six toward
We played a little too much out on the perimeter. We've been lucky enough to be scoring five to six goals per game in the last few games, so we might have gotten in some bad habits. We have to get back to working toward the goal and creating better chances.
clutch game hold leads rules sit
You can't just sit back and hold on to leads now. With the way the rules are now, you have to keep going after it. The rules don't let you clutch and grab, so it's more a game of offense.
attentive aware change concern detail game giving seems
I think there's some concern there. We're not being as aware and as attentive to detail as we probably should be. It seems like we're giving up at least one every game and we're going to have to change that.
exciting fans game happy scoring
I think it's the most exciting the NHL has been in a long time. I think the fans are very happy with the way the game is going. There's a lot of scoring chances. ... We're very happy with the way things have been going so far.
game great kid loves might trophy winner
But he's a great kid and loves the game and he'll have success. He might not be the Calder Trophy winner but in the long run, he'll be the real deal.
adopt complement consoles developers films games require
Games and films complement each other, and next-gen consoles will require game developers to adopt new techniques.
defense easy game pass plays
In Game Two it was a little too easy for their defense back there. They were able to make that first pass and set up plays too easily.
batteries carry days help rest
We're going to try to carry them for the first eight, 10 days and try to give them as much rest as possible. Hopefully, they'll be able to recharge their batteries and help us down the stretch.
