So now I have somebody to share my pain with.
american-athlete came chance everybody gave last led points season third
You look at 2001, we were third in points and no one gave us much of a chance when the season started. We came back last year and had the same team, the same everybody and led points.
days hard seemed team worked
We just couldn't find the right combination. The team really worked hard at it, but it was one of those days when nothing seemed to click.
backup bring came car dead deciding good last lining looked month oil reached sign silver testing time tough
I don't know what happened. I reached down to look at my oil temperature, and when I looked back up everyone was dead stopped. The only silver lining is that our backup car should be as good as our primary. We came down here testing last month and had a tough time deciding which car to bring back, so that's a good sign for Sunday.
confident finish fun good management rocket supposed waste work
What a shame. The Waste Management Chevrolet was really good all day and I was having fun out there. We had a rocket and I'm confident at least a top-10 finish was in our future?maybe even the win. But things just didn't work out for us the way they were supposed to.
call early five guys happened lap last racing
It's disappointing that something like that happened so early in such a long race. There were guys up there racing like it was the last lap-- making it five wide-- it's ridiculous. We were on lap nine-- there's just no call for that.
along beat came join opportunity ran seemed
It seemed like when we ran second, they beat us. When the opportunity came along to join them, there was no second-guessing.
It was a pretty wild ride. The race wasn't bad, but qualifying would take your breath.
asked tenth time weights
That's about the 1,000th and tenth time (I've been asked about my neck). It's OK. I'm been doing a little stuff. I got some stuff from UT, weights to build you back up.
emphasis everybody pole puts wants
Everybody puts a lot of emphasis on qualifying here. This is the pole that everybody wants to win.
calmed daddy dinner figure finished headed mama second took
It took Mama a second or two to figure out what he said, ... Once she did, she was pretty mad. But Daddy got her calmed down, we finished dinner and headed to the track.
good guys putting shop shows stuff
It just shows how good the guys in the shop are putting stuff together.
barely bit bring certain chevy clubs confident great home looking optimistic outside
We're just barely on the outside looking in. It's a little bit of pressure, but I'm certain our Ginn Clubs & Resorts Chevy will be top-notch. Not only am I confident we'll make this weekend's race, I'm optimistic we can bring home a great finish.
optimistic unfinished
This is the most optimistic I've been in a long time. I've got some unfinished business.
