Sovereignty is something, you use it or you lose it.
So we recognize, continue to recognize, the concept, but as I say, I'm glad to see the situation of the provinces is not quite as urgent as it's been.
I can assure the Canadian public that the Conservative Party, having been out of office for most of the last 100 years, doesn't think it has a divine right to rule, and we're certainly going to listen to what other parties have to say.
I don't think any federalist leader should be urging people to vote for the Bloc.

I appreciate Brian's contributions in the House and to the Conservative party.
I am waiting to hear somebody in the Prime Minister's Office put out some information that is contrary to what we're reading in the papers now,
I don't think we can ever be sure we will have Mr. Layton's votes unless he is in on the motion itself. And to this point he's indicated no willingness to do that.
Her dedication will not be forgotten as others follow in her footsteps and continue to build on her accomplishments.
You would think there would be some element of shame. There is none whatsoever.
You've got to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from eastern Canada: people who live in ghettoes and who are not integrated into western Canadian society.
You shouldn't need to be cajoled into staying.
And I think the real problem that we're facing already is that the government doesn't accept that it got a minority.
All too often we hear stories of veterans who are ignored or disrespected by government. What a shameful way to treat men and women who risked their lives to defend Canada. This shame will end with the election of a new government.
