We've had lots of e-mails -- some wishing us luck, others offering marriage proposals and quite a few asking how to get into curling and where their nearest club is.

It definitely helps. I think you can make half of a shot -- not make a perfect shot -- and the crowd is still behind you. When you don't have the crowd, you might think about it more.

We had to kind of gamble a little, to try to steal a point or points from them. We kind of put the game on the line going into that end. We were either going to steal a point and be tied coming home, or give them the game there in the ninth.

We sat down a couple of nights ago, after we lost our second game, to Italy. We were disappointed with the loss, but one encouraging bit of news was that we knew we still had to play everybody who was ahead of us in the standings. We realized if we would win out, we'd get to the medals round..

We?re not looking that far ahead. Our first goal is to win each game. The second goal is to get into the medal round and just let it fly.

We've played them a couple times before. We know how they play. They know how we play. We're rivals, if you want to call it that. We're rivals to the point where it should be a good game.

It's satisfying to end on a good note, and having a medal is even better.

I've gone through such a range of emotions in the last 45 minutes, it's definitely hard to even explain what I've gone through. Saturday will be the big day when it really hits for me, when I'm up on the podium getting the medals. It's any athlete's dream to make the Olympic team. It's only that much better to say that you came out with a medal.
coming confident definitely everybody expecting ok
Everybody was not expecting us to do well here. But we were pretty confident coming in that we could be contenders. We were definitely OK with coming in here and not being the No. 1 favorites.
