When I started here, we went 6-10 and watched other teams dance on our field to our music. I've seen us go from a team people laughed at to a team people have to respect. Now we're at the Super Bowl trying to build a dynasty.
Mike is just so key for us as a team, as a group of young men trying to grow up.
For me, you've got to play football first. We're not trying to be accountants. The money takes care of itself. That's kind of how I think anyway.
We don't care if we're overlooked or not overlooked, if we're picked to win or not picked to win. When you get to the playoffs, it's just about playing the game, looking at it for what it is, and trying to be ahead when the clock runs out.
It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. They weren't trying to make bad calls, but they did. At the same time, we had chances. I don't blame anybody. If you get to blaming, you'll find ways to lose.
I don't live my life trying to prove anything. I set high goals for myself. I set high goals for my team, and as a group, we just try to achieve them. Contracts are contracts. They're just part of the business that's after football, but it has nothing to do with what we do on the field.
We were really enjoying the laughs. All that is part of this experience.
We missed some opportunities, but at the same time you have to give Pittsburgh credit. You don't miss for no reason.
We missed some great opportunities that would have made us world champions. But at the same time, you have to give credit to Pittsburgh.

It was an emotional roller coaster -- going from Christmas, then your aunt dies, and then all the stats come out and you might get all these records. I've been asked, 'How do you feel?' Tired. I'm really blessed we do have this week off where I can kind of grab a hold back to reality.
