You grow up playing five games in three days in tournaments. It's like going back to peewee hockey again.
We played the whole game in our zone and we can't afford to do that. This is a challenge to each one of us in this room to be better.
He's a fiery guy. The way he played is the way he coached, and you love that as a player to know that your coach is on your side and is into the game as much as you are.
It was nice to contribute in that game and being to play in that whole World Cup is something I'll never, ever forget. But they're going to pick the best team they think has the best chance to win and they've had a pretty good success of doing that at this point.
Those are huge moments that I'll always remember. And I'll never forget the last game we played there before moving to Phoenix. It was the loudest building I've ever been in for a sporting event ever. I couldn't hear what my teammates were saying.
You never want to say, 'This one's for him,' because nothing compares to that, but it's a good way to go home. We're finding ways to win games again.
The first ten minutes of the game we were down 3-0. That makes it hard for us and we got it back and we didn't get a win again.
We had some big goals to keep tying it up, but we needed to find a way to get that lift and to get the one to get the lead. We never managed to get the lead.
We have to stick together now. No one is going to feel sorry for us. We have to find ways to pull ourselves out of this.
That was huge. Johnny's one of those guys that you really cheer for because he does so much for us every night.
He's a big man. You never want to be caught in his tracks.
He's 19 points ahead of the next closest guy on our team. He's able to create things from nothing on offense.
I was so excited and so honored to be named part of the team, and for that to happen, it blows my mind. I've done absolutely nothing (wrong), and I've had to defend myself through all of Canada.
Obviously you want to be on the team but there's at least 100 Canadian players that could easily be on that team. The group making the selections will have a tough decision on a lot of guys.
