Fink is such a good player. He pushes off and makes big threes. He put it on the floor and made big shots. When good players get on a roll, it's hard to stop them.
We've had some droughts throughout the year like that and those just kill us. We have to find a way to put the ball in the basket.
Catfish - I call him Catfish - is always around the ball. Yeah, that was great.
My dad's been hard on me, my coaches have been hard on me, he's just like that extra father figure. When he relates to us like he expects more, we don't look at it in a negative way and say: 'You know what? I can't do it.' At least he has the confidence in us to say, 'You can do it.' We don't look at it as negative. Sometimes you might get a little down, but you never can look at the bad side.
Like any rivalry, there will be some great games. Fans will enjoy how hard these two teams will play.
Pierson's been a guy who has stepped into so many roles for us. Whether it's been nickel, dime or safety, he's given us a lot of versatility on the field. Pierson does a lot of the things on the field and comes prepared to the games every weekend.
I think whenever you lose three in a row, you always worry. We need to play with some confidence. If we get a couple shots to fall, it's amazing what happens to kids' confidence when the ball starts going in. I think we have good shooters and the ball will start going back in for us.
That was the key play of the game. That sort of put it away.
I was really happy when I heard about (the meeting). That shows they're taking ownership of the team. When it's my team, we're not as good. When it's their team, they want to make things work and we're a lot better.
Man, that's why we've got judges, we've got trials, we've got people that make decisions for what goes on in court. I'm not worried about anything.
I think they understand that when I come here to play ball, I'm here 100%, ... I'm going to work as hard as everybody else works. We're going to work on what's in the future, not the past.
Just gutsy, I thought. To play on guts, I mean he was hurting and he probably will be hurting (today). I'm awfully proud that he was a Blue Devil tonight.
(Friday night) Galesburg made shots, so we weren't able to get it off the rim and transition it. When we can get it off the rim and in transition, we're a much better basketball team.
For us to win we needed to (capitalize). We needed to have maximum possessions.
